Or you could try out this video game called "Banished", which has oficially bumped DayZ from it's number one position on Steam sales! What's interesting is that only another indie game with high ambitions could do it.
This game is about maintaining your village, that is filled with your own personal, little villagers. You have to keep them healthy and happy, and if everything goes right, your village should grow. Basically you can treat them like resources and it's always good to have more. It's all about the management and survival.
