Alien: Isolation, a few words from developers

The Creative Assembly is developing Alien: Isolation, which will be published by Sega. The Lead Audio Designer Mark Angus tells us a bit about the design choices:

“We’ve tried out many different varieties of design to see which one works best for the game. If we had produced an alien that looked 100% like the original film’s and walked like a mummy, there’d be just as many complaints…we want you to have long, meaningful encounters with our Alien, and so the design has to support that.”

This game is going to have the alien theme, but it's not going to be a clone of the 1979 Ridley Scott's Alien film. Those guys clearly have their own version. Not so long ago Lead Designer Gary Napper said a few words about big guns in the game:

“It’s about scavenging and finding things you can imagine to be in that environment, small fire arms and stuff like that you can craft basic rudimentary devices from. We’re not giving you plasma rifles, launchers and electric guns and stuff like that. It needs to stay within that chunky realm of believability.”

The game will be out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, this year!
